The Havenwoods BID and our employers continue to recognize the face of our workforce is changing. As the future generations enter the workforce we are seeing more people of color, young professionals and people of very diverse backgrounds join our companies.
Building relationships can be challenging between people with completely different backgrounds — and managing people can be even more difficult. It’s no secret that conversations on race make many uncomfortable. The Havenwoods BID in collaboration with the YWCA and the Menomonee River Valley BID provides a safe space for peers to connect, learn, and grow.
To strengthen any organization, it’s important for leaders to understand perspectives different from their own and barriers that different racial groups face. This understanding is crucial to create a workplace and policies that are supportive of all.
This 6-week program helps leaders understand the impacts of race from a historical perspective to modern day. Participants will leave with a better understanding of multicultural issues faced by your employees to foster better engagement. To find out more and to register for this October program, click HERE. The series is FREE to all Havenwoods businesses.
