Around the Corner with John McGivern Featured Havenwoods!
In 2017 Havenwoods EDC was thrilled to hear that the Around the Corner production crew was interested in highlighting the Havenwoods Community on their Emmy award winning PBS program. John and his film crew came to the neighborhood last September and filmed products made in Havenwoods such as Kallas Honey, Dang Soda and Walthers Model Trains. Viewers were treated with a feature demonstrating how honey is processed and how soda is made. Also highlighted in the program were the Milwaukee Job Corp, the McGovern Senior Community Garden, the Green Tree Garden, the Havenwoods State Forest and the Asian Public Market. A huge thank you goes out to all of those interviewed. They represented the Havenwoods Community wonderfully.
On Monday, January 29th Direct Supply Company generously sponsored the community screening as Havenwoods EDC welcomed over 200 residents, business owners and fans of the show from all over to celebrate Havenwoods. Attendees were able to get a sneak peek before the program debuted on February 1st and enjoyed a talk back segment with John McGivern, John Gurda and the Around the Corner crew.
